2000 With the birth of the urge to start the sport and offer something new, CAPiTA soon attracted professional snowboarders and sold instantly recognizable boards around the world. It certainly wasn't an easy journey, but despite long shifts, sleepless nights and "flirting" with bankruptcy, CAPiTA withstood every storm that threatened to overthrow it. And now it is one of the most advanced brands in the snowboard market.

In 2016, the construction of THE CAPITA MOTHERSHIP, the newest, most technologically advanced and environmentally responsible factory in the snowboard industry, was completed in Austria. Mothership is the world's first 100% clean energy snowboard factory.

As a CAPiTA base station and manufacturing house, The Mothership, with an example of responsible manufacturing, in 2017. won the Energy Globe award for the Carinthian region. The Energy Globe, known as the Nobel Prize in Nature, is the most prestigious environmental award to date with 178 participating countries.

98% of the materials used for the production of these snowboards are purchased from local markets: 50% from Austria, 48% from Germany, Slovenia, Switzerland, Italy.

This company chooses regional trips to source materials from local markets rather than supporting trucks transporting cargo across the continent or global air freight. Choosing this way to buy raw materials not only supports local business, but also consumes less energy and emits less pollutants.
